Jesus In Control

CONSIDER THIS

Picture this. Jesus is in the garden with His disciples, only hours away from His death on the cross. Nothing that is about to happen is a surprise to Him. Jesus not only knows what is going to happen, He directs it all!

Looking to arrest Jesus, Judas arrives at the garden with 600 armed soldiers and the temple police carrying torches, lanterns and weapons. Jesus does not shake in His boots, neither does He run and hide. What they find is not a quivering coward, but an Almighty Conqueror. Jesus meets them and asks who they are seeking. They answer, “Jesus from Nazareth.” 

Jesus reveals Himself: “I Am”

Remarkably, at the sound of His name, this band of the best soldiers and police officials all tumble over, collapsing into a noisy pile of shields, swords and lamps. They all fall down from the power of His name. When Jesus speaks, the enemy falls.

The only ones standing are Jesus and His followers, the ones who put their trust in Him. If you don’t believe in Jesus and are not following Him — now is the perfect time to take a stand with Him. He knows you. He’s calling you by name. He’s inviting you now. Say “Yes!” to Jesus.

God knows what you are going to face tomorrow, next week, next year. He not only knows, He has a plan for your life. He is not distant, He is intimately close. He has given us His Word to remind us He is still in control.
