CONSIDER THIS

Sorrow. Sadness. Mourning. Grief. Disappointment. Pain. We’ve all been there. We’ve all experienced it. A deep heaviness falls upon us. At times it feels overwhelming.

Sorrow always demands a choice. What we do with that sorrow will make all the difference. Choose Jesus. He is present. He hears our cry, even when we have no words. He knows. He understands what we’re feeling. And provides help.

Actually, Jesus has provided the Helper. The Holy Spirit is the One who comes alongside to bring us exactly what we need exactly when we need it — whether it be comfort, encouragement, enlightenment — whatever it may be, He knows what is best for us.

Be encouraged. You are not alone. The Holy Spirit not only comes near, but He dwells in us. Imagine that. God dwelling in us. He is ready to guide us, to speak to us, to show us where He is ultimately taking us, and to show us in more detail the wonder of who Jesus is. He is the only One who is always there to help us.

Jesus tells us all these things by declaring, “I tell you the truth.” We simply need to believe.
