CONSIDER THIS

What would you do if a king told you, “You’re out of your mind!”?* It happened to Paul. You see, for Paul, the resurrection was the most significant event ever. He talked about it a lot. Like, all of the time.

Here, in the book of 1 Corinthians, Paul chose to confront the many questions regarding Jesus and His resurrection. What difference does the resurrection make? Is the resurrection a reality? What does it look like if the resurrection was not true? Maybe you have asked these questions yourself.

Paul wrote: IF Jesus did not step out of that tomb, then our faith is worthless. We are fools for believing a lie. All we’re doing is wandering about in the dark, as lost as ever. Hopeless. In great despair. Defeated by sin and death.

However, there’s more to the story. And it’s amazingly good news: The truth is Jesus has been raised from the dead! The tomb is empty. We celebrate because Jesus lives.

What difference does the resurrection make in your life? It changes everything. Jesus didn’t come to make bad people good; He came to make dead people alive. In fact, He’s here to rob your grave, to give you new life everlasting.

Know this: the truth does not cease being the truth because you reject Him. The truth still stands. Jesus died for you. The tomb is empty. There is hope — and eternal life — for all who come to Him. Choose Jesus today.
