Bible Passage: John 5:15-5:30

Hyperboles. Obvious and intentional exaggerations to emphasize a point or truth. Here are a few examples:
* I’m so hungry, I could eat a horse.
• My feet are killing me.
• Spiders make my skin crawl.
• Gas is costing an arm and a leg.

The message in John 5 is perhaps the most important text regarding the identity of Jesus that you will find in scripture. Believe me, that is not hyperbole. Understanding these words is more important than anything in your life. Who is Jesus?

Jesus tells us Himself. He uses the words “truly truly” three times in our text. It’s like He’s saying listen up, this is hugely important, don’t miss this! Are you listening? His message is simple and profound: Jesus is God. Jesus is the final judge. Jesus wants to give you life. All you have to do is hear His word and believe.

Jesus is indeed the Son of God who brings us life. Don’t wait another moment. Listen to Jesus, believe in Him, and receive eternal life. Jesus accepts and welcomes you with open arms. Don’t miss this! How we respond makes all the difference.
