Can You See Me Now?

Bible Passage: John 20:10-18

CONSIDER THIS

Mary was an outcast, an outsider, until she met Jesus. He delivers her from her demons, gives her life and she follows Him. And then her life comes tumbling down all around her. Her Master is murdered, His body buried in a borrowed grave, His body stolen. The One who freed her is now gone. She is brokenhearted and sobbing. That’s when Jesus speaks her name: Mary. He opens the eyes of her heart, she sees Him and believes.

We can learn from Mary and the progression of things that take place in her life at this time. Ever wonder why those pesky, seemingly unending doubts, despair and disappointments are in your life? God wants us to look to Him. He wants us to get a glimpse of His eternal plan. No longer looking at the past nor at our losses, no longer focused on the problems that surround us, we look to God alone and recognize He may be revealing something about us. We need to let go, move forward and pursue the new things He has for us.

All so God will open the eyes of our heart so we can see Jesus — really see Jesus — and believe. Do you hear Jesus calling your name? He’s asking, “Can you see Me now?”
