This Was No Tragedy!

CONSIDER THIS

The cross was no accident. The death of the Son of God was not a knee-jerk response to a world plummeting toward destruction. It wasn’t a last minute decision nor a patch-up job. The cross wasn’t a tragedy, nor was Jesus a victim.

No, it was part of an incredible plan. The moment the forbidden fruit touched the lips of Eve, the master plan was set in motion. Jesus steps into human flesh. He’s the One who was in control. He’s the One who gave up His spirit. He’s the One who chose to go to the cross, dying a ghastly horrific death — for all the outcasts of the world, for you and for me. He gave His life for us so we can truly live. It was His plan all along.

His final words on the cross, “It is finished!” was a cry of victory. Jesus completed what He started out to do. The debt has been paid in full.

Don’t walk away from the cross. Embrace what He has done for you.
