Step into the town of Bethany. Listen for the house with the biggest celebration. What do you see?

There’s diligent, hardworking Martha, always ready to serve, prepping a dinner for a houseful of guests.

Look, there’s Lazarus, reclining, simply being a witness with his life: one moment he’s dead, the next he’s alive.

And then there’s Mary, worshiping Jesus sacrificially and extravagantly, pouring costly perfume upon Jesus, knowing He was about to die. She saw the big picture because she spent time at His feet.

Each one loves Jesus in their own way.

The one who worships
needs the one who witnesses
needs the one who serves
needs the one who worships.

We all need each other. No matter which person we identify with the most, we all need to spend time at the feet of Jesus.
