Life is crazy. Catastrophes hit, celebrations rebound. Welcome to the up-and-down story of our life. We’re so much more than what happens during the hyphen seen on our tombstone. What takes place when God’s story becomes our story makes all the difference. It’s about Jesus changing our life forever. In Jesus we find out who we are and what we’re living for. That’s what our testimony is all about.

The difference between a biography and a testimony is God. A biography is about “What I Did.” A testimony is about “What God Is Doing.”. The apostle Paul knew the difference. The whole city is topsy-turvy, gathering to watch a mob drag him from the Temple to kill him. Paul sees it as an opportunity to share his testimony of what he was like before Jesus, what Jesus did for him and what life is like right now with Jesus. We can certainly learn from him how to share our own story. (We encourage you to watch Sunday’s sermon to get all the details.)

Our testimony is not about what we’ve done for God, but what He’s done for us. It’s not about what we gave up for Him, but what we inherited from Him. It’s about what Jesus still does for us today. God will use our testimony to reach others. So share it boldly, live it faithfully and trust God with the results.
