Sinners in the Hands of a Gracious Father

CONSIDER THIS

Here’s something that’s hard to fathom. Even when we reject God, hate God, ignore God, oppose God, mock God — He still pursues us. He still forgives us. He always loves us. He never gives up on us. Instead He invites us to fall into the arms of our gracious Father, our loving Savior. His hands are our hope! 

How can this be? 

Throughout the book of Hebrews the author encourages us that God is faithful. Does His faithfulness make a difference? Yes, yes it most certainly does.

When everything is falling apart around us, when our stressometer is off the charts,  when we are wondering what to do with our worst nightmare, we have to choose: Fear or faith, random happenstance or God’s purpose, a God who turns His back or a God who holds out His hands.

We all choose. Choose to remember what He has done for us in the past. Choose to keep our eyes on Jesus. Choose to hold onto our faith and endure. Choose to believe that God is good, even though all we see looks bad. Choose to believe because God is faithful. Choose to rest in Him.

Put your life in the hands of the living God!
