Jesus is Our Greater Rest

CONSIDER THIS

Our culture seems to promote being on the go, running here, running there, helter-skelter, never stopping, never resting, feeling weary, feeling unsettled. Just typing that sentence made me tired. A good night sleep might seem to help but it’s not the answer we seek. Our deep restlessness needs a real cure.

There is a rest beyond the physical. A deeper rest that is not temporary. A rest that we all need.

Thankfully the author of the book of Hebrews shows us the way. Hebrews 4 is all about God’s rest. It all points to: Jesus is our greater rest! Simply put: we enter God’s rest when we trust in Jesus’ finished work on the cross. That’s it! Faith. Believe. Trust.

This rest — His promised rest — God’s rest is available to *all* who trust in Him. And He appoints a certain day to enter into His rest — it’s today! 

Why wait another moment?
