Echoes of a Savior

CONSIDER THIS

You know how everything feels like it’s waiting for something big? That’s us, longing for Jesus’ return. Think about how it must have been long ago. Watch this moving video that illustrates how all of history points to the birth of Jesus. It paints some of the echoes of a Savior and shows how the Christmas story actually starts in the book of Genesis.

The first echo of a Savior came from God’s lips. There, in the garden, God promises a Deliverer who will crush the enemy’s head and rescue humanity from sin and death.

Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us to be holy in His eyes! It was God’s plan from the beginning. Grace began in the garden. At the moment that mankind fell and our relationship with God was broken, hope was spoken. The Bible says one thing from start to finish, “He’s coming!”

A few thousand years after the garden, in the middle of chaos and darkness, we hear the angels announce, “For unto you is born this day, in the city of David, a Savior. He is Christ, the Lord!”

Yes, indeed, the long expected Jesus has come. Christmas is when God in His great love came for us. But that’s not the end of the story. Jesus pursues us all the way to the cross. It was His plan all along.
