Bible Passage: Hebrews 13:1-6
CONSIDER THIS
Have you ever read something from the first century and it still resonates today? Words that are still so relevant that we want to live them. Right now.
Here, in the first six verses of Hebrews 13, are radical words on how we can put His Kingdom on display. It all starts with love — loving our brothers and sisters, extending that love to strangers, prisoners, outcasts, the forgotten, honoring our marriage
Jesus Himself shows us how.
Remember: it was only yesterday that we too were outsiders to God’s ways and didn’t know the first thing about the way God works, hadn’t the faintest idea of Jesus. Now because of Jesus — dying that death, shedding His blood — we who were once out of it altogether are embraced fully.
All because of Jesus.
Jesus came so He could welcome us to His home. He opens His door and invites *all* to His table. We can do the same. We can indeed follow in Jesus’ footsteps and show God’s radical selfless love. When we reach out to others — loving, caring, feeding, welcoming, befriending — no matter who they may be, it reveals our King’s heart!
Therefore, Go! And put God’s kingdom on display!
