CONSIDER THIS

The year was 1930. King George V was preparing to address the opening session of the Naval  Disarmament Conference in London — and broadcasting to all parts of the world via radio. Moments before the king was going on air, somebody at the New York radio station tripped over the wires connecting the transmitter panel to the generator. The connection was broken. For eight seconds, there was nothing but silence. No static. No feedback. No king. Just dead air.

Suddenly, a young engineer grasped both ends of the broken wire, and allowed over 200 volts of electricity to pass through his body. He held on, some say for 20 minutes — never letting go, never giving up, steadfast in courage — until the wires could be repaired. He did it so the King’s message could be heard.

Today, the world is topsy-turvy, waiting to hear the message of our King. God calls us and empowers us to join Him in His mission, to be His witnesses, to go everywhere with His message, a message that changes the world. We don’t have to — we get to!

Empowered by His Spirit, let’s do it so our King’s message can be heard — and turn the world upside-down for Him!
