Jesus Our Ark
Jesus Our Ark
Series: The King is Coming

CONSIDER THIS
Noah and the Ark isn’t simply a Sunday school story about a big boat, sunglass-wearing-giraffes and rainbows. Sin corrupted everything. Real people died. Real sin was punished in a real flood. At the same time, this isn’t a bleak hopeless story about destruction and death. Yes, God executed judgment because people refused to turn from sin.
God also had a mercy-filled plan and still showed grace to those who trusted Him.
God sees evil ravaging the world. Human wickedness is out of control. But then there’s Noah. Noah found favor with the Lord. Instead of wiping out humanity, God provides a way out — an ark of salvation.
The ark is a picture of Jesus saving believers from the destruction of sin. Just as Noah obeyed God by climbing onto a boat to save a few, Jesus obeyed His Father by climbing onto a cross to save many. Jesus showed Himself to be greater than Noah because of His perfect obedience.
Just as there was only one door to the ark, Jesus is the one door to salvation. As God invites Noah to come into the ark, Jesus invites us to come to Him, providing deliverance, salvation and protection. Jesus is our Ark!
