He Has Done It!
He Has Done It!
Bible Passage: Psalm 22
CONSIDER THIS
Don’t let the ancient poetry fool you. The book of Psalms is so much more than a dusty collection of old songs and prayers. Think of it instead as a giant scrapbook of portraits that point directly to Jesus. Every line — from deep cries in the dark to bursts of joy and praise — points to a Savior who gets our struggles and walks right beside us.
Take for example, Psalm 22. Written centuries before crucifixion was even invented, it paints a stunning picture of Jesus’ cries, His pierced hands and feet, the mocking crowds, casting lots for His clothes — every detail of His death on the cross.
He understands our suffering. When we feel lonely, unheard, or abandoned, remember that Jesus dove straight into that darkness. He endured it all for us. Christianity is the only faith that says God is with us in our suffering. He suffered alone so we would never have to. We are not alone!
We can trace His footprints through this chapter. He went before us, rescued us, and secured our victory. His plan of salvation is completed on the cross, and now we can proclaim His righteousness. He has done it!
