Ecclesiastes can be a tough read. At first glance, it appears to tell us about how running after worldly success, money and pleasures is like “chasing the wind.” Without God in the picture, it all comes up empty.

The “Teacher’s” endless searching proves that nothing in this world can every truly satisfy us. This frustration makes us realize we need Someone greater to rescue us.

The emptiness described in Ecclesiastes point us directly to the ultimate answer found only in Jesus. He’s the only One who offers us eternal life that never fades, satisfying our deepest longings for our restless souls.
